Have I left if too late to book a DJ?

The short answer to this is an emphatic 'no'. Because we're Hertfordshire's number one DJ company, we have a roster of talented and highly professional acts available at any given time. During particularly busy periods, such as over the festive period or at the height of summer, our established acts will be in high demand, but as we're always bringing in new talent, we can be sure there will be someone available for you, possibly at a discounted rate.

I can't decide if I want a DJ or a band. What should I do?

Everybody loves a good live band, but the reality is not many of the acts working the 'covers' circuit have either the talent or resources necessary to faithfully reproduce the original recordings of the songs you want to hear. The few that can will charge a premium, which is sure to have a marked effect on your budget. That said, if money is no issue, why not have both? We can work with a band to provide a whole evening of music which incorporates live music and a superb DJ set.

Can't I just play my own CDs or MP3s?

You could, but really, wouldn't you prefer to enjoy your event without having to rush to the stereo when the music runs out or the track playing suddenly spoils the mood? An MP3 player on shuffle mode might be adequate for a low-key private party, but if you want to create a proper sense of occasion, there really is no substitute for a professional DJ with the talent to select exactly the right music.

I'm not sure what time my event will finish. Does this matter?

Absolutely not. Of course we like to give our DJs an end time if at all possible, but if you let us know in advance that the timing of your event is more open-ended, they're always happy to be

flexible. We will simply quote for what you feel is the most likely duration, and invoice you for any additional time at a later date.

Can I have a go on the decks myself?

What a great idea! We're always open to incorporating fun touches to the events we organise, and this type of audience participation is very popular. You could even invite your guests to participate too, perhaps in a competition format. Who knows, perhaps one day some of them might even be good enough to work for us!

I'm organising a party for my parents. They love 1950s music, but I don't know anything about it. Can you help?

Of course we can. As well as being talented all-rounders, our DJs are all experts in their own specialist areas of music. Whatever genre or era of music you require, you can be sure we can provide an act with exactly the right expertise for you.

I've found my dream wedding reception venue, but it closes at midnight and there have been noise complaints in the past from nearby residents. Should I be worried?

There's no need to worry about this at all. Our DJs are past-masters at ensuring wedding reception events run according to a tight schedule, and can use special noise-limiting technology which will guarantee the volume levels will stay within accepted levels specified by the venue.

Can you recommend a good Caterer/Photographer/Children's Entertainer?

We can do better than that, we can recommend excellent event professionals in all of these fields and more. Usually there will be several companies we can put you in touch with, all of which we will have seen at work ourselves and can vouch for personally.
